> One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
> He said, "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all:
[] One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
[] The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
> The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
> The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
These days, we need to watch what we do and say to and about others, as the above tale says.... If we speak about others from the skin of the first 'evil' wolf, we may find ourselves in a fix that we cannot remove ourselves from, especially one brought on by speaking before thinking, i.e. arrogance and jealousy and envy or even regret..... If, however, we speak from the skin of the second good 'wolf', with benevolence, empathy and generosity, we may find ourselves in a state of joy and happiness as well as serenity and kindness.... some thoughts, just a few, without tapping into theology....
{} Every minute you are thinking of evil, you might have been thinking of good instead. Refuse to pander to a morbid interest in your own misdeeds. Pick yourself up, be sorry, shake yourself, and go on again.

Still more to think about, een if only for a bit.... Peace to all, while we still can afford it....
